The Dolphin of the Ocean is an upcoming American animated adventure film, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and disturbed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is a 58th animated feature film. The story takes place in a kingdom of Dolphins in the ocean. The Dolphin of the Ocean was directed by Mike Mitchell (director) and Rob Minkoff, produced by Don Hahn, and has a screenplay credited by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts (writer) and Keaton Flicker. Its original songs were written by Sound of Contact and original scores by Joseph Williams (musician). The film features an ensemble voice cast that include Jason Ritter, Pierce Gagnon, Katherine Heigl, Mia Talerico, Tobey Maguire, Aden Strong, Connie Britton, Kevin Costner, David Arquette, Brian Thomas Smith, Adrien Brody, Mario Lopez and Lindsey McKeon.

It tells Danny, a young dolphin who is succeed to his mother, Kathy, as King of dolphins; however after Nigel's enemy Jaws murders Kathy, Danny loses his mother. He is given some valuable to his childhood friends Samuel and Kathy before returning to challenge Jaws to end his tyrant and takes his place as a King of Dolphins.

The film was dedicated to Burny Mattinson who died of breast cancer.

The film premiered in El Captain Theatre on May 12, 2019 and released in theaters on May 17, 2019.

Plot Edit

Danny (Jason Ritter) was born in the ocean to a king Nigel(Kevin Costner) and queen Kathy of Dolphins (Connie Britton) and They celebrate his birth. Kathy shows Danny the ocean and explains him to responsibilities of kingship and the ocean is connected. His best friends, Samuel (Tobey Maguire) and Chloe (Katherine Heigl) follow Danny to Abandoned ship where they were attacked by Jaws' henchmen (Brian Thomas Smith, Mario Lopez and Adrien Brody) whom are in league with Jaws (David Arquette). Kathy is alerted by her guards and rescues the kids. She forgives Danny and explains that the kings watch over the stars.

Jaws set traps for His nemesis' queen and son, having sharks drive a barracuda. Kathy rescues Danny but ends up get killed by a barracuda who send her falling to her death. Danny mourns over his mother's death and went home with his father. Now, a young adult, Danny rescues his friends from Barracuda.

Cast Edit
